the viability of using arena weapons for

I'm justurious what everybody thinks about the viability of using arena weapons for tanking in 2.3. Now that devastate reples sunder, it seems that fast weapons are not nearly as good as slow weapons for generating threat. Sie there really aren't many (any?) slow tanking weapons, I'm stronglyonsidering pking up one of the arena weapons to use as my tanking weapon when I'm full prot. I know resiliee isn't as good as defense rating, but it's not that mh worse and still helps to get urittable. What do you guys think about this?
Sure, it's more TPSDPS. I think I'll keep my kings defender though. As long as your not losing threat any MH weapon will do the job. It's not like DPS is a HUGE part of our TPS anyhow. with Shield slam and revenge, I generally try and keep devastate to a minimal use (re-apply the sunder debuff...). I have yet to play around with the TPS for the imp devastate though. I like my rotation, and HS is good threat too. Whh a faster MH gets more out of for TPS.
Sure using a high damage weapon is a ne way of boosting your tps, I'm not soonvied however with regards to the overall benefit of slow weapon tanking. Youertainly would see a boost with regards to the threat generated on devastates and the like but it is worthonsidering the other stats that dedated fast tanking weapons provide. Key examples would be the me off lurker in S whh (now) gives expertise rating and the new tanking axe in ZA whh provides some ne hit rating. Both of whhan provide signifant tps boosts. Given that the latter drops in a 10 man you just know you're going to wind up getting it to drop eventually.
