If your guild lets you do what you were built to do...
Your main role will be watching the pats on your tracker and making the necessary pulls back to the group were the tank can pick up.
Peeps in here keep saying there is no designated role for hunters,

my guild if I am in a dungeon/raid I am the designated puller, not by choice, but by designation due to class. If you want to see a safe pull, try having a warrior pull Rattlegore in scholo without pulling the adds behind. On my rogue I had seen it done and new it
could be done as it was a hunter who had done it. Went in there with my 5man leveling team on my hunter, the warrior was an ex hunter who re-rolled and he said Ill do the pulling in this instance. Ok, no problems... Up until we hit rattlegore. He did all the pulls fine then came time to pull Rattlegore, first time he tried, pulled Ratt and BOTH adds= WIPE, second time, Ratt and 1 add= wipe, I had to say something at that point, I said "you can pull just I was then told "dude I woulde just love to see you try I am an ex-hunter and it can't be done"
Turned on undead tracker, sat there for about 5 minutes watching the order of the pats, got yelled at for not pulling, sat there for another minute, he asked "dude you going to pull" right as I let off an arcane shot. What do you know... It pulled
JUST Rattlegore and to my satisfaction everybody else in the party started laughing at the warrior and from then on anytime my guild does a run I am puller, it may take longer for a hunter to pull but if the hunter knows what he is doing and watches the pats you can go through and instance with the fewest mobs possible making it fly by real quick without any deaths.
Learn to pull well and you will be priceless to your guild, watch your scanner, watch and learn how the pats move so you can pull with minimal adds, and have fun while doing it.

Usually dps. Sometimes we kite, or trap or help off tanks keep aggro and dodge tank but by large, dps.-Rooke Goldenleaf
