i have a lvl 73 hunter and was wondering how important the haste rating isGood question.
I've noticed a great deal of the new northrend gear has haste rating on it. Can anyone answer this? ...as I suspect that, for many classes aswell as hunters, this may be a
new stat that could be worth taking.
Also armor penetration seems to be popping up on a lot of gear too...I surmise that since Haste Rating increases the speed in which you wield or fire your weapons, Hunters would also benefit from this.
According to WoWwiki.com, for every 32.79
points of haste rating, you have 1%% faster attack speed at level 80 or 1%% for every 15.77 points at level 70.i wouldnt gear just for haste but any on gear is a bonusI've been noticing the haste rating as well and I do feel it is something
all hunters should really consider looking into espicially if you're undergeared. It's kind of like the cobra reflexes all of your pets can have. While it lowers your attack power, you do hit faster which in turn can cause more chance for crits and because you're hitting faster you're going to be hitting more(duh). I've been noticing that even though my attack power sits over 4100 with aspect of the dragonhawk there are a lot of undergeared players who even though sit on nearly 600ap under me still manage to keep up with me in damage and
dps because they've put a fair amount of focus in haste.The problem with haste is how much blizzard has screwed us over with it. Given that much of our t7 and t7.5 have haste on it u would assume that they would want us to venture away from bm and into MM or SV given that they will greatly benefit from it. However, at the same time our 2 set bonus is garbage if your anything aside from BM. I would hope they would fix this in a patch considering they are nerfing BM and almost no one will want to stay as a BM hunter.
All in all, haste as a stat is still good becasue it up ur dps. For example, the bow that drops in Heroic Utgrde Keep and the bow off Razuvious from 10 man naxx have the same DPS (129.6) and
the same speed (2.80). But, because of the haste on the bow from razuvious it increases ur dps by 2 pts. Yes, it is not much but it does indeed serve a purpose and does something for ur white hits. It is important because now that we rely
so much on Auto shot, the faster it shoots the more dps we will be putting out.
so stats should be like this in importance:
1. AP
2. Crit
3. Haste.
This is assuming of course u have at least 6.5%% hit chance, pretty much all u need so u dont miss.
