Gun with high or low speed ??

Hi everyone. I was wondering what is best "a gun with high speed or low speed"? I am a dwarf hunter. So guns are what I want. I was thinking that fast gun with 1.7 speed is good because your aspect of hawks apply on every shot. But I am not sure if slow guns is maybe better as it has higher top damage.  Any comments? Borix Think more about Damage Per Second (DPS) rather than the speed of your shots.  The faster you shoot PLUS the bigger the damage per shot in average, is the best gun.  This shows you in the weapon's stats.  Eg: 93.3 DPS. Here's a better explanation of it: that's true people say that DPS is good. And then I was thinking that with a fast gun, You can interrupt players more in there castings. And I was thinking with fast gun your bonus that comes from aspect of the hawk and the Hunters mark is apply on every shot, so the more shots you do per 1 min more bonus you squeeze out, or what ?? :) Example: I am looking at a 2 guns with the same DPS but one is 1.7 speed and the other is 2.3. Which one is better? The faster Guns have lower top damage then the slow ones. Does that mean the bonus that comes from Aspect of the hawk and the Hunters mark is lower on the fast guns that the slow guns? Can you give me the names of those two guns? Okay, this is how it is generally, but not always AND basing it on a weapon of the same quality and same level: 1) Slower guns have higher max damage 2) Faster guns have lower max damage 3) Higher DPS is an average of your max/min and attack speed, and in reality this is the sole attribute you should look at besides the bonuses the weapon may give you. If you want to hit your opponent for higher critical damage, you would look at your higher max damage and increase your crit %%. If you want to hit your opponent for consistent DPS, you would look at your DPS attribute and increase your attack power. For Aspect of the Hawk, this ability will increase your DPS output, regardless of how fast or how slow your weapon is per se.  The main thing to look at for Hunters is DPS.  This is apparent in 10/25 ppl raids and 5 ppl instances.  For PvPing, Crit %% and High Critical Damage are important things.  You can still go into a raid or a Heroic with high crit %% and HCD, but again, this depends on how you want to play your hunter. For myself, I have lower Crit %% (25%% unbuffed) and just a little over 2200 AP at level 74 with my hunter abilities turned on. As a BM hunter the faster gun is probably the best choice. For MM or SV the slower weapon would probably be better although the reasons for this are lessened these days now that Aimed shot is instant cast. For example, when twinking a 49 hunter this Verdant Keeper's Aim always used to be considered a better choice than Hurricane if you were speccing MM/SV because, despite having lower overall dps, the burst damage you could get from an Aimed shot/autoshot/arcane shot made it a better choice. As a BM however, you have several abilities aimed at increasing attack speed and so then the faster weapon would become the better choice. The down side of course would be that you'll find yourself running out of ammo very often;)Please keep in mind that there is something like shot-rotations .. for example for the BM: Your main attack is the Steady-Shot. But White-DPS is where most white-dmg comes from. So you want to sqeeze in a Steady-Shot between every two White-Shots. If your weapon has a attack-speed of 1,7, and Steady-Shot having an Cast-Time of 1,5, it is nearly impossible to fit the shot in that gap, not even with using a shooting-makro. Personally i think Marksman is the spec for fast bows/guns, because they will play with critical hits way more than BM ... very nice guide is: for crappy english)That used to be a concern but isn't any more. Your auto shots can no longer be clipped by your casts(except for volley i think)...quite often you might notice an auto shot going out half way thru casting a steady shot.Actually, BM would benfit better with faster ranged shots because
